This year’s Geneva motor show hasn’t been the supercar-fest that 2013 was, when LaFerrari and the production-ready McLaren P1 were unveiled, along with the Porsche 911 GT3 and Lamborghini Veneno. Still, with a potential candidate for world’s fastest car and promising concepts from Maserati and Alfa Romeo in attendance this year, you don’t have to look far for Geneva exotica. The Renault Twin'Run concept, unveiled during the weekend's Monaco Grand Prix, is the sibling of the Twin'Z collaboration with Ross Lovegrove. Together they fulfill the ‘Play' stage of Renault's ongoing concept car lifecycle. While its overall form is very similar to the Twin'Z's (apologies for awkward punctuation on Renault's behalf), previewing the next-generation, rear-engined Twingo, the ‘Run is altogether racier than the more pragmatic – if no less flamboyant – ‘Z.
The 2012 Toyota Yaris - the UK details
We’ve been trailing the 2012 Toyota Yaris since the end of last year when Toyota in Japan unveiled the JDM Toyota Viz ( the Japanese version of the Yaris) and again a month ago with the unofficial Euro details. But now Toyota UK has decided – especially as the 2012 Yaris is starting to roll off production lines in Europe from today – that they may as well make the new Yaris official, give us some details and let us know exactly how much a new Yaris will now cost. The Yaris will come in four flavours of trim – T2, TR, SR and Spirit – although Toyota say that a full two thirds of sales are of the TR trim.
